Frequently Asked Questions:

Who are we?

Classic Car Wiring was founded by me, John Anastasio in 2001. Luckily I was able to blend my lifelong car bug with my industrial drawing and graphics background to create what you see here. Although I have another artist working with me, I do all of the day to day operations myself. If you call, I'm the happy (most days) camper on the other end of the line. I'm also the shipping, tracking, customer service and eBay department.

Where does Classic Car Wiring get it's info?

We have hundreds of factory service manuals, aftermarket manuals and training books that I have acquired over the years. Our diagrams are not just reprints, they are custom drawn professionally laid out schematics with ease of use and accuracy in mind.

Do you make anything for cars past 1981?

No, not at this time. We may expand later but the advent of computers in cars has made the electrical systems vastly more complicated. A fully loaded 1969 Camaro has a 4 page diagram. The TPI system in a 1984 Corvette is 12 pages alone.

Why do some options not appear on the diagram?

Unfortunately, there were many options included on cars that no information was printed for. Many times this seems to be the case for hood tachs, and gauge package options on GM cars. This is also true for 50's & 60's car radio options. Some of them were listed in separate Delco manuals but not all. Over the years I suspect the factories lost this information figuring that none of us could care about how to wire a console in a 65 Coronet

How do I know if my Dodge or Plymouth has a rally dash?

Your dash will have a tachometer (RPM's), clock or combination of the 2 and an oil PSI gauge. Non rally dash cars have the little red light that comes on to tell you that you have no oil pressure. (Usually a good sign that you will be buying a new engine in a few hours)
Are HEMI car diagrams different?
In most cases, yes. If you have one of these amazing vehicles let me know. I have the different diagrams available for most of them.

Why don't you have one for my car?

We probably didn't get to it yet. We have about 700 different models & variations done and are always adding more. Let us know what you need.

Do we make harnesses?

No. There are a lot of companies out there that do and I can't recommend one over the other since I have never dealt with any of them.

Is everything laminated?

Yes, even the posters

How much is shipping?

11X17 diagrams ship via First Class US Mail for $3.00. 18X24 ship Priority Mail for $5.95 in the US. International orders vary, max postage is less then $12.00. Shopping Cart software will automatically discount multiple diagram orders. Orders over $100 ship free. Express Mail/Fedex/UPS available for additional charge or bill to your shipper number. Call or email if needed.

Why not just email or fax them?

Legal & copyright reasons don't allow us to.

I want to convert from 6 Volt to 12 Volt.
